The album was compiled by former Willi’s bass-man Paul Riley and released as the second album on Proper Records in 1996. The tracks were all previously unreleased versions of recordings representing the best of the five-piece band. The notes on the back of the original release told it like it was:
Never knowingly undergigged, never knowingly oversold, hear for the first time their original recordings (all previously unreleased) and marvel at their antics, as it is described in the weighty booklet. A labour of love,and all this for the price of a few pints and a packet of fags.
Since those heady days of the 1990s, the rocketing prices of beer and cigarettes have left the price of music in the dust. Although the tracks have subsequently re-appeared on REAL SHARP, this digital only release gives you an opportunity to enjoy it in its original sequence.
