If it seems like ages since you last heard that Diz Watson had a new album…you’re right.  It was donkey’s years – whatever they are.

But have you heard the news…a new one is out in the autumn of 2024.  I’ve heard it and can confirm that it has been worth waiting for.

Diz Watson is one of a handful of Europeans who have mastered the art of the New Orleans piano style and for Diz-Connected, he has assembled a team of some mighty Doormen to show that he hasn’t lost his touch.

‍

It’s fair to say that if you’re not down in New Orleans yourself, you’ll struggle to hear anybody else playing stuff like this anymore.

‍

Music played like this is disappearing fast and this broad selection of sixteen tracks is exactly what you’d hope to hear if you’re lucky enough to catch this funky old cat and his great band at a gig.
