Youlden’s unique blues vocals and songwriting contributed hugely to Savoy Brown’s most successful albums and international recognition but, he has rarely performed again after leaving them over 40 years ago. “Closing Time” unearths unreleased masters from a series of recording sessions in 1987 and 1991, and premieres "I Wanna Stay Alive," a Youlden co-write with Paul Riley.
These eighteen superb analogue studio recordings had enough of a grape-like bloom at the time to merit being picked and preserved for later enjoyment— yet another testament to the inimitable talents of Chris Youlden.
